א. מטרות הקורס
מטרות הקורס הן להכיר את הגורמים הלשוניים והחיצוניים של התפתחות שפה, לקות שפה ודו לשוניות. בנוסף, נבחין בין מאפיינים אוניברסאליים לבין מאפיינים הנובעים ממבנה השפה הנרכשת, נבחן כלים ושיטות עדכניות להערכת שפה ראשונה ושניה, ונדון בלקויות שפה וגורמיהן. במהלך הקורס יוצגו דרכים מגוונות לטיפוח השפה בגיל הרך, ויובאו דוגמאות ממדגמי שפה על מנת להמחיש את הנלמד.
ב. תוכן הקורס
בקורס יועלו היבטים תאורטיים ואמפיריים של התפתחות פסיכולינגוויסטית וסוציולינגוויסטית בגיל הרך (לידה עד גיל שמונה). נדון בהיבטים פסיכולינגוויסטים בהקשר של עיבוד השפה, מבנים תחביריים ודקדו בעוד שבהיבטים סוציולינגוויסטים ההתייחסות תהיה לסביבה השפתית (הורים, חברים, גננת וכו') של הילד. נדון בהתפתחות שפה תקינה, ליקויים ייחודיים בשפה (SLI) וכן דו לשוניות.
ג. מהלך השיעורים
השיעורים כוללים הרצאות פרונטאליות ודיונים תוך שימוש במצגות והדגמות באמצעות סרטונים.
