Navigating Conflict in the Multicultural Classroom: The Use of Simulation-Based Learning for Peace Education in Teacher Training

In today’s increasingly diverse classrooms, teachers face the daunting task of navigating complex conflicts arising from cultural, linguistic, religious, and social differences among students.‪ Teacher education programs have a difficult time addressing this issue, struggling to provide effective solutions and develop practical methods to prepare teachers to deal with this challenge.‪ This paper explores the use of simulation-based learning (SBL)‪ in teacher education to train teachers with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to manage and resolve conflicts in heterogeneous classrooms effectively and constructively.‪
