Our Vision is "To achieve excellence in education by ensuring equitable learning opportunities and international growth." We aim to become a leading hub for international education initiatives, research, and partnerships. The unit strives to create opportunities for faculty, students, and staff to engage with international perspectives, cultures, and best practices in education.
Our Mission is to "provide opportunities for lifelong learning through open, flexible, distance and international education while committing to the highest standards of teaching, learning and research." We aim to promote and facilitate global engagement, collaboration, and exchange within the field of education. Our mission is to foster a diverse and inclusive learning environment that prepares educators and students to excel in an interconnected world.
Our Purposes
Global Partnerships: The international unit seeks to establish and strengthen partnerships with educational institutions, organizations, and governmental bodies worldwide. These partnerships aim to facilitate collaborative research projects, student and faculty exchanges, and joint educational programs
Student Mobility: The unit endeavors to enhance student mobility by providing opportunities for students to study abroad, engage in international internships, or participate in cross-cultural learning experiences. This goal encourages students to develop intercultural competencies and become global citizens.
Faculty Development: The unit supports faculty members in developing their international research collaborations and professional networks. It offers resources, grants, and workshops to foster international research projects and promote global perspectives in teaching.
Curriculum Internationalization: The unit collaborates with faculty to infuse global and intercultural perspectives into the curriculum. This goal ensures that students receive a comprehensive education that prepares them to work effectively in diverse educational settings.
Our Aims
- To cultivate faculty of education members and graduates as world citizens and learners
- To equip faculty of education graduates with the skills necessary for success in international job markets and the global economy
- To enable members and students of the faculty of education to do cutting-edge- educational research on global, comparative, and international issues.
- To create interdisciplinary dialogues,
- To assist in achieving global standards in both research and education
- To improve scholarly understanding, to address significant global issues as well as local social, economic, and political issues from a comparative perspective.
- To encourage the growth of beneficial connections between the local and global communities
- To disseminate knowledge in academia and beyond:
- by encouraging sponsoring research projects for staff and students at the faculty of education, research programs, and initiatives;
- conferences, seminars, and workshops;
- Awarding competitive fellowships to international researchers.
Internationalization
At the faculty of education, internationalization entails developing and incorporating pedagogies, research cultures, social activities, and strategies that promote our global and international impact.

At the faculty of education, we are very proud to interact with the larger community and provide our services to everyone. As a result, engagement at all levels is essential to what we do as a higher education institution.

FEIRU activities: What do we do?
By forming international partnerships with people and organizations, the FEIRU's main goal is to improve the academic, financial, social, and cultural elements of the faculty of education and students. We provide support to an international community of scholars whose work spans the globe and whose work is anchored on a wide range of methodologies and perspectives.
Additionally, we welcome outside researchers, postdoctoral fellows, and practitioners who visit the faculty of education of Bar-Ilan University and gain from networking with our academics and students.
- Create, implement, and oversee international agreements,
- Lead the faculty of education international activities,
- Promote international exchange programs for students and academics,
- Welcome foreign tourists, post-doctorate students, and visiting scholars,
- Create and promote opportunities for international workshops, conferences, and seminars,
- Seek out new alliances,
- Promote collaborative research projects,
- Create global exchange, communication, and international initiatives and supporting materials.
