This study explored the relationship between school leadership styles and school effectiveness, with teacher satisfaction acting as the mediating variable. Employing both quantitative and qualitative approaches, four distinct leadership styles were analyzed: formative leadership, rewarding leadership, altruistic leadership, and authentic leadership. The primary results reveal a notable positive association between formative leadership, teacher satisfaction, principal altruism, and school effectiveness, particularly at the local leadership level. Formative leadership emerges as the most influential factor in enhancing school effectiveness. Additionally, authentic leadership demonstrates a positive impact on teacher satisfaction, contributing significantly to the educational process and academic outcomes in schools. However, a qualitative examination underscores altruistic leadership as pivotal for school effectiveness, while satisfaction is linked with rewarding leadership. These divergent findings underscore the necessity for further research to delve into the relationship between leadership styles, especially altruistic leadership, and school effectiveness, and their implications for educational practices in schools.
