Pa-matrices and Lyapunov scalar stability.

For partitions ά of {1…n},the classes of P ά -matrices are defined, unifying theclasses of the realP-matrices and of the real positive definite matrices. Lyapunov scalarstability of matrices is de definite and characterized, and it is shown alsothat every real Lyapunov ά -scalar stable matrix is a P ά -matrix. Implicationrelations between Lyapunov scalar stability and H-stability are discussed.
