תקציר

The operational objectives of the research were:
1. To examine whether differences exist in crystallized and fluid intelligence skills, long-term memory, creativity, as well as in personality traits (curiosity and openness to change) among adults with mild and moderate ID (IQ = 40-70) with artistic or theatrical talents compared to adults with mild and moderate ID (IQ = 40-70) with no such unique talents.
2. To examine whether differences exist in crystallized and fluid intelligence skills, long-term memory, creativity, and personality traits (curiosity and openness to change) among adults with mild and moderate ID (IQ = 40-70) with artistic talents compared to adults with mild and moderate ID (IQ = 40-70) with theatrical talents.
3. To examine the relationships between cognitive and personality measures among those with talents in the artistic and theatrical fields.
4. To examine the contribution of age, gender, level of intelligence, memory, personality traits, and the assignment to the theatrical and artistic talent groups to explaining the variance in the participants’ creative ability (Torrance).
5. To use a model for examining the contribution of the assignment to the groups (talent/no talent), both types of intelligence, memory, and personality traits as a mediating variable for creative thinking as measured by the Torrance Test.
