About Us

The Research and Innovation in Higher Education Lab, established in 2022 by Dr. Annette Bamberger at Bar-Ilan University’s Faculty of Education, is dedicated to advancing rigorous research in higher education policy, administration, and leadership. By conducting critically oriented, theoretically informed, and empirically robust studies, our lab provides foundational analyses that advance socially just, innovative, and effective leadership within the higher education sector.Our lab strives to be a dynamic hub, fostering connections across the higher education ecosystem: academia, industry, civil society, and government. Through collaborative projects and critical dialogues, we aim to empower educational leaders and policymakers to drive innovative change in higher education.

Academic Impact: Our lab consistently contributes to scholarly dialogue through peerreviewed publications in prominent journals.Educational Impact: We enhance the MA in Education Leadership, Policy, and Organizational Development program, focusing on shaping future higher education researchers and leaders. The program blends theoretical insights with practical skills, enabling graduates to effectively influence and advance the field of higher education. This commitment not only professionalizes higher education administration and leadership but also elevates the standard of research and practice both in Israel and globally.Practical Impact: We produce reports and develop evidence-based solutions aimed at improving practices within higher education policymaking, administration, and leadership. These initiatives are designed to translate research findings into actionable strategies that address real-world challenges.
