Keynote lecture on agentic leadership in times of crisis and adversity
On March 10, 2025, Prof. Chen Schechter, from the Leadership, Organizational Development and Policy program was invited by Prof. Chen Junjun from the Education University of Hong Kong (ranked 4th in Asia and 12th globally in the latest survey) to deliver a Keynote lecture on agentic leadership in times of crisis and adversity.
The lecture was presented to professors and teachers from the university’s Faculty of Education and Human Development,offering valuable insights into how leaders navigate challenges with resilience and adaptability.
In addition to his keynote address, Prof. Schechter was invited in his capacity as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Educational Administration to share insights on strategies for enhancing journal's impact factor. His expertise in academic publishing, combined with his leadership in the field, positioned him to discuss key factors such as editorial policies, citation impact, international collaborations, and strategies to attract high-quality research. His participation aimed to strengthen the visibility and influence of educational research on a global scale.

SPEAKER: Prof. Chen SCHECHTER
Professor, Bar-Ilan University, Israel
Prof. Chen Schechter is a full professor of leadership, organisational development, and education policy at Bar-Ilan University in Israel.
Aiming to integrate theory with empirical evidence and practice, his research areas include reform implementation, educational change, professional learning communities, organisational learning, collaborative learning from success, educational leadership, leadership development, and systems thinking for school leaders. He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Educational Administration, the oldest and most respected international journal in educational leadership and management. He also serves as the Head of the Mofet National Institute for Research and Development in Education.
