Groundbreaking study: People with intellectual disabilities can get smarter as they age

The Times of Israel in English and French highlighted research conducted by Prof. Hefziba Lifshitz,
from the Faculty of Education,  Debunking a myth, while showing that individuals with intellectual disabilities improve their cognitive functioning with postsecondary education. The article also focused on the Empowerment Project founded and directed by Prof. Lifshitz and on the group of students with Down syndrome and intellectual disabilities who recently became the first such group in Israel to receive a BA.
