The Special Education program can be studied as a double major or as a structured double major with a teaching certification
Special Education is a one-course major and cannot be combined with other courses.
The Special Education program aims to prepare students for research, teaching and educational work with children with a broad range of disabilities. Our graduates work with children with intellectual disabilities, physical handicaps, sensory disabilities, emotional or behavioral disorders, and children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
The curriculum includes professional training toward obtaining teaching certification in special education from the Ministry of Education while providing academic research tools and skills.
